[!NOTE] Card Basics: The Kotak PVR Credit Card (current live product is the Kotak PVR Platinum Credit Card) is a Visa designed for movie lovers — not a general rewards card. The ₹999 annual fee from year 2 is not auto-waived, and there is no airport lounge access. What you get is up to 2 free PVR INOX tickets per month (capped at ₹400 each) on ₹15,000 monthly spend, plus 5% off movie tickets and 15% cashback on F&B at PVR INOX. If you don’t go to PVR INOX regularly, this card makes no sense.

This card is essentially a movie-loyalty product. The headline reward rate of “up to 8 RP per ₹150” is impressive on paper (~5.33 RP per ₹100, ~1.33% voucher value at ₹0.25/RP), but statement credit redemption at ₹0.10/RP is now the floor — effective 1 June 2025, cashback redemption was cut from ₹0.25 to ₹0.10. So the value is real only if you redeem via vouchers.

• ₹999 Annual Fee From Year 2: If you don’t visit PVR INOX enough to extract value, the fee becomes a sunk cost
• No Airport Lounge Access: Zero domestic or international lounge visits — this is a movie-loyalty card, not a travel card
• Cashback Revised to ₹0.10/RP (Effective 1 June 2025): Statement credit redemption lost 60% of its value. Always redeem via vouchers
• 8 PVR Tickets/Year Cap: The “free PVR tickets” benefit is hard-capped — spend ₹1L+/month and you still only get 2 tickets/month
• PVR Tickets Capped at ₹400 Each: Premium formats (IMAX, 4DX, Gold Class) require you to pay the difference out-of-pocket
